Like the sun marks the changing of time, A New Day (A.N.D.) symbolizes a new era in Hip-Hop. Coming out of the world-renowned San Francisco music scene, A.N.D. hopes to bring something different to the ears of hip-hop fans in the Bay Area and beyond. Their self-titled, debut album is the product of four up-and-coming emcees—Dregs One, Telli Prego, Patience aka More Risk Rich, and Yarrow Slaps—collaborating with veteran DJ/producer TD Camp (Bored Stiff/Hella Records). The result is an underground supergroup of artists whose raw energy breathes life into every song they make.
A.N.D. is keeping Hip-Hop’s lifecycle in motion by combining musical elements of the past with a modern sound that makes their presence unmistakably unique amongst today’s watered-down rap scene. Crate-digging since the late 80s, TD was able to provide an eclectic selection of soulful beats for the four rappers to each add their individual styles to the tracks. There is a wealth of vibrant personas between the group—hustlers, wordsmiths, painters, activists, party-rockers, and city-slickers. The camaraderie amongst this diverse group has produced a universal sound that will have music fans young and old celebrating the dawn of A New Day.
A.N.D.’s debut album A New Day (Hella Records) is available as of May 1st online and on CD in select stores or directly from Hella Records. For more information, interviews or booking, contact A.N.D. at email@example.com
